New Jobs and Educational Opportunities Coming to
NatureSweet’s Bonita Production Plant in Graham County, Arizona was recently approved to sell a portion of the facility to the Bayacan Company, a grower of medical-grade cannabis.
This approval will diversify our economy, bring a research and development facility to the area, and will add up to 500 jobs for the residents of Graham County. This approval from the Graham County Board of Supervisors will also save current jobs at Nature Sweet and provide additional dollars for our local schools. This is a WIN for our residents and protects our future with economic and career opportunities for so many.
Maintain NatureSweet operations and jobs
Add up to 400 good paying jobs to Graham County
Generate an estimated $18M in annual wages in initial phase
Provide additional opportunities for job seekers
Bonita School District and other special districts, property tax collection in the first six years of operations total an estimated $5.8 million
Bayacan to donate annually an additional $120,000 per year to Bonita School District.
Direct investments into our children and educational opportunities
Bayacan will generate an estimated $1.8 million in net new taxes for the
County and the local property tax jurisdictions
Including ripple effects throughout Graham County, a total of $2.4 million in wages and $7.7 million in economic activity will be generated by the construction/improvements onsite
